917 Display at Museum

If this You Tube video doesn't make you want to pack your bags for Stuttgart to visit the new Porsche Museum, you should check your pulse to see if you have one.

    The muuseum is on my list but the cars just sit there. To really get a true understanding you need to see them live and in person. Check out the following.

    Although not shown in the clip The "pink pig" and the Lemans winning 22 car were both flown over to Daytona for the event.

    The Rennsport 3 event was the single largest gathering of running 917's there has ever been with 17 cars attending. ( including the famous photo since not all of thoose cars shwon actually ran. )

    IF you didn't see them run in the late 60's and early 70's then the next Rennsport may be your only chance.

  2. Sounds great, but it's a totally different experience.

    Sometimes you need to hear the gospel shouted from the rooftops.

    Other times, you need to worship quietly at the shrine.
