New 911 Turbo History Ad, Same Old Voice

Here's a new long commercial for the 911 Turbo which features a litany of improvements recited by that man with the pretentious voice Porsche has been using for decades.

Maybe that voice tests well in focus groups of likely buyers, but to me, it implies Porsche is the car for people who think way too highly of themselves.

Now that there's an impending change in Porsche ownership, maybe there will also be a change in Porsche ad narrators.

Is Tom Cruise available?

WTF-you don't like the voice on the Porsche Turbo ad and you think the Porsche/VW may mean a change? That's petty and stupid even for a blog. I'm outta here.

It's not always what you say, Peter, but how you say it that makes for effective communications.

I would also argue that the Porsche/VW merger is anything but petty and stupid.

But since you're "outta here" you probably didn't see this anyway.

Porsche knows best...Porsche truly understands how to keep the brand tight. Porsche Turbo.
